Homegrown Hockey is a free scheduling tool for youth hockey coaches and team managers, operated by PCFC, LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. It is used by the adults who run a team. Players do not have accounts, and nothing here asks a child for information.
Your account. Your name, email address and password (stored only as a hash) when you sign up. Your organization and team names, age group, division and home rink when you set the team up.
Your schedule. Games, practices, blackout dates, tournaments and the notes you attach to them. Opponents and rinks you enter. Correspondence you log with other programs, including emails you forward into the platform.
Family contacts. If you use the family roster, the parent and guardian names, email addresses and phone numbers you enter, together with the player's first name so you know whose family is whose. These come from you, the coach or manager — not from the families directly and not from any outside source.
Ordinary technical records. Server logs and error reports that include your IP address, browser type and the pages that failed, kept to keep the service running.
To run your season: show your calendar, find games with other teams on the network, send the weekly family email you ask us to send, and remember your settings. We do not sell any of it, and we do not use family contact details for anything but the messages you trigger.
When you create an account, we also use your email address to send you a few setup emails over your first two weeks: how to get your schedule in, and what the platform can do once it is. Every one has an unsubscribe link, and unsubscribing from them stops only those setup emails, not the email your team sends.
The platform is free and is meant to stay free, which means it will carry advertising. Two rules govern that. Ads run only on pages that hold no family contact details and no player names. And nothing you enter here is ever used to target an ad, sold to an advertiser, or handed to a data broker — not your roster, not your schedule, not your correspondence.
Where an ad does appear, the network serving it receives the ordinary technical information any embedded content receives: an IP address, a browser type, the address of the page it sits on, and it may set its own cookies. That is the whole of it.
Your team's data is visible to the coaches and managers you add to your team, and to administrators of your organization. Other teams on the network see only what you choose to publish — a public team profile, or the open dates you share. Families have no access to your team's records: they receive the emails you send them and, if you share its link, the calendar feed. Anyone can create their own free coach account, but an account sees nothing of a team it has not been added to.
The platform runs on Supabase (database and sign-in), Vercel (hosting), Resend (email delivery) and Sentry (error reporting). Two features send what you give them to an outside service to read it: Smart Intake and the tournament tools send the contact sheets, forwarded emails and tournament pages you upload or paste to Anthropic's AI service so they can be turned into contacts and schedule entries, and rink search sends the rink name you type to Google Maps. Each service processes data only to provide that feature. None of it goes to a data broker, and none of it goes to an advertiser.
For as long as your team uses the platform. When a season rolls over, prior seasons stay available to you as history. Delete a contact, a game or a note and it is gone from the working copy immediately; backups are kept for a limited period and then discarded.
You can edit or delete anything you entered, from inside the app. To close your account, or if you are a parent who wants your family's details removed from a team's roster, email team@homegrownscheduler.com and say which team. Deletion requests are handled by email, and you will hear back when it is done.
If this policy changes in a way that matters, the date at the top moves and coaches with an account are told by email before the change applies.
